Specialised Investment Funds (SIF)

Specialised Investment Funds (SIF) are used for alternative investments. They are regulated funds, that are not destined for the broader public but only open to qualified investors. They offer more flexibility than UCITS. Besides traditional investment strategies, alternative investment strategies, such as real estate investments or private equity investments, can be used. SIF can be used within the scope of AIFMD (SIF-AIF). The relevant legal framework is provided by the Luxembourg Law of 13th February 2010.
